Invisalign First in
Appleton & Green Bay

Invisalign First is an orthodontic treatment option created to help guide the growing smiles of children between the ages of six and 10.

These clear aligners help straighten teeth and expand the arches, allowing for the healthy development of your child's mouth.

Invisalign First is designed for children who still have baby teeth, and we only use it when it’s truly needed. This helps create the right space for adult teeth to come in properly, address specific functional issues, and correct crossbites.

Most kids needing orthodontic intervention to correct misaligned teeth or jaws usually start treatment with Invisalign when all their permanent teeth have come in.

Consultations & Monitoring for Children

Children should visit the orthodontist for the first time around the age of seven for an orthodontic consultation. This visit will allow us to determine whether any orthodontic treatment is needed.

If it is, we'll create and begin a treatment plan. If not, we provide free assessments every six to 12 months until your child is ready for Invisalign.

The Invisalign Process

Invisalign straightens teeth by applying gentle, consistent pressure to the teeth, which causes them to shift over time.

Treatment involves a series of custom-made clear aligners. Each aligner serves a specific purpose and is then replaced by the next one until the desired results are achieved.

How is Invisalign First Different?

Invisalign First features a smaller design compared to standard Invisalign aligners, making these aligners more suitable for children's mouths and baby teeth.

They also feature Eruption Compensation, which allows the aligners to accommodate baby teeth falling out and adult teeth growing in seamlessly.

Here are some features of Invisalign First that make it an excellent choice for kids:

  • Smooth construction, which means no friction from metal brackets.
  • Removable aligners that make it easier to maintain thorough oral hygiene.
  • Removable aligners also mean none of the food restrictions that come with braces.
  • Clear aligners that are discreet when worn for more self-conscious kids.
